World Cup Final Watch Party feat. GLBT Historical Society Exhibit
Co-presented with Pride House
KQED and Pride House SF invite you to gather for a World Cup Final Watch Party and an afternoon exploring the intersection of sport, identity, and community.
Alongside a live screening of the final match, attendees can experience our collaboration with the GLBT Historical Society – the exhibition “Play, Protest, Pride: San Francisco’s Queer Sports Legacy” which traces the history and cultural impact of LGBTQ+ athletes and communities in the Bay Area.
The space will also offer a moment to reflect on the role of Pride House SF as a space for visibility and inclusion in sport. As San Francisco looks ahead to upcoming global sporting events, the event will include a forward-looking conversation on legacy, including a transition toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
