Description

Innovation abounds in chocolate because of the Bay’s amazing chocolatiers, but also because of necessity. A warming planet shifts how and where chocolate is grown, or if it can be grown at all.

In this tasting event and discussion led by climate journalist Laura Klivans we’ll talk about the changing reality of cacao for farmers and companies. Guests include Bay Area legend Amy Guittard of Guittard Chocolate Company, and sustainability expert and former cacao farmer Minni Forman, and Dandelion Chocolate co-founder and Cacao Sourcerer Greg D’Alesandre.

Come for information about a shifting economy and a turbulent climate, and stay for the samples. Digest the bitter with the sweet in this delicious and informative celebration of our favorite treat.
