With the temperature rising, the ice shrinking and the seal population disappearing, what is a struggling polar bear to do? For one, from a broken arctic home with bright light, big city dreams, the answer seems to be: head to Hollywood.

The Beaufort Diaries follows our down-and-out polar bear to LA, where he skyrockets to easy fame in Leonardo DiCaprio’s psychological-thriller-slash-legal-drama-slash-buddy-flick about global warming, “Separation of Oil and State.” But stardom quickly goes to Beaufort’s head, and his ambitions to avoid being typecast as a polar bear lead to his inevitable crash and burn, post-Scientology center and all.
