The Adderall Diaries is a true-crime memoir set amongst the trial of Hans Reiser, a well known computer programmer accused of killing his wife, and the author’s investigation into a murder confessed to by his father in his father’s unpublished memoir. It’s a book about identity, sex, false confessions, and modern pharmacology. But, more than anything, it’s a book about writing and being a writer and what that means.
