Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall-of-Famer Paul Simon announced today that he will headlining this year’s edition of Outside Lands, one of the Bay Area’s most popular music festivals. The other artists performing at the festival, coming to Golden Gate Park Aug. 9–11, will be announced on March 26.

The “Graceland” singer’s announcement might come as a surprise to fans who recently saw him on his 2018 “farewell” tour. Though Simon is no longer on the road, he still occasionally plays benefit concerts to support environmental causes. (His Outside Lands proceeds will be donated to a local environmental nonprofit to be named at a later date.)

Outside Lands tickets are on sale. Details here
