Flames, finesse, and fashion — that’s the annual tradition at The Crucible’s ‘Hot Couture,’ which kicked off Feb. 16 at the collective’s studios in Oakland.

As designers took inspiration from Prince (this year’s theme: “The Beautiful Ones”) and ten different design teams showed their creations, our photographer Benjamin Michel was on hand to capture the heat.
