Metallica has just announced a show at AT&T Park for Feb. 6 — the night before the Super Bowl — and as usual, there’s a confusing labyrinth of ticket presales, fan club passwords and more.

Tickets to the general public go on sale Friday, Nov. 6 at 10am, but there are numerous ways to score tickets beforehand. Here’s your simple guide:

On Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 10am, tickets go on sale to members of Metallica’s fan club, the Met Club. Signing up is free; I just did it, and it took about 30 seconds. Sign up here, and you’ll be first to buy tickets.

On Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 10am, tickets go on sale to Citi cardholders. You have to buy the tickets with an actual Citi card, so borrow one from your dad.

On Thursday, Nov. 5 at 10am, tickets go on sale to Giants season-ticket holders; if you know someone with season tickets, hit ’em up. Also at the same time is a Live Nation presale, accessed by downloading Live Nation’s mobile app.
