Thursday, Oct. 1 - Sunday, Oct. 4: Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra's 'Cinderella.' Commissioned for the Mariinsky in 2002, the production launched choreographer Alexei Ratmansky to international stardom, earning him a reputation for revitalizing classic ballet with urbane sophistication and modern storytelling. Thursday, Oct. 1 - Sunday, Oct. 4: Needles to Thread: Dancing Along These Lines in Continuum Alley. Jo Kreiter's Flyaway Productions present a new piece inspired by immigrant women who work in the garment industry, drawing from a number of lenses: gymnastics, Chinese pole acrobatics, social justice and urban revitalization, feminism.
