This documentary profiles Heklina, who is the founder and hostess of Trannyshack, currently San Francisco’s longest-running drag show. Performing since 1996, she appears in local theater (including parodies of the popular television shows: Sex in the City, Golden Girls, and Roseanne). In addition to Trannyshack, she also produces and hosts Daytime Realness and gay pride activities.
From her early days growing up in Iceland, a discharge from the Navy, overcoming drugs and alcohol, Heklina has emerged as one of the premiere performers in the alternative drag scene in San Francisco and beyond.
