David Boutry, Chief Financial Officer
David P. Boutry is Chief Financial Officer at KQED. In this role David provides strategic financial leadership, and helps identifies and captures audience growth and investment opportunities as KQED evolves. He plays a key role in shaping KQED’s ambitions and strategy for growth to meet the changing needs of audiences.

David is a seasoned finance leader with more than two decades experience in non-traditional media, particularly in building out financial systems, processes and teams from scratch. His career journey has taken him from basic accounting to higher level analytics and strategy.

David arrived at KQED in 2022. He had previously served as Senior Vice President, Head of Finance at 2K Games, a gaming subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive. David started with Take-Two in 1999 in France, when the business was still a start-up. He was responsible for building out the entire accounting team and implementing processes and systems, including a logistics ERP.

In 2005, David was brought over to 2K in order to recreate the success he had helped usher at Take-Two Interactive. He built a team and the foundation of the finance program. Boutry also helped drive strategy for the business by making commercial decisions, navigating regulatory issues, and leading development acquisitions and integrations as the business grew into a $2 billion company.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Rennes School of Business, France and a Postgraduate diploma in Financial Studies and Management from Bangor University, United Kingdom.
