The high cost of living in the Bay Area is sending the National Park Service regional office packing.

Federal officials cited the "high cost of living" and other cost-saving factors in their decision to move the National Park Service Pacific West Regional Office from San Francisco to Vancouver, Washington.

The regional office oversees 60 national parks located in states and territories ranging from Montana to American Samoa.
