Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia Denies Groping and Harassment, But Not Sending Flirty Texts

Family Members, Civil Rights Leaders Call for Justice for Stephon Clark

Civil rights leaders joined the family of Stephon Clark in Sacramento yesterday. During an event, Stephon Clark’s grandmother asked why police officers shot and killed her grandson in her backyard about a week ago instead of using a taser or dog to subdue him. Now, civil rights leaders are seeking to change state law to allow for independent investigations of certain police shootings.
