About the filmmakers:
Lexi Leban (producer/director) is an independent filmmaker and educator. Her films, More Than a Paycheck, Her Tattoo, Labor and Tic Toc Bio Clock have screened at film festivals at home and abroad, from Yerba Buena Center for the Arts to the Berlin International Film Festival. Her producing credits include Whirlwind Women, funded by the Paul Robeson fund for Independent Media, Pacific Pioneer Fund, and Positive Art, funded by the Horizons Foundation and Astraea Foundation. Lexi holds an MFA in Film Production from San Francisco State University and teaches film and video classes.
Lidia Szajko (director/producer) is an independent filmmaker and film educator whose films and videos have screened at festivals in the U.S. and abroad. Her work has received numerous awards including the Isabella Liddell Art Award for Most Promising Woman Filmmaker at The 28th Ann Arbor Film Festival, the People's Choice Award at the 23rd Annual Humboldt Film & Video Festival, Honorable Mention at the Golden Gate Awards of the San Francisco International Film Festival and an Award of Merit at Superfest XVIII, An International Media Festival on Disabilities. Lidia also works as a film and video editor; recent post-production credits include editing the feature, Desi's Looking for a New Girl. Lidia holds an MFA in Film Production from San Francisco State University and teaches at City College of San Francisco.
