He even tries some Chinese delicacies, but most exciting of all, he gets to see the famous dragon dance! Also, Caillou and Grandma throw Grandpa a surprise belated birthday party! Grandpa is surprised, and very happy! After seeing Bravo the magician doing some tricks at Leo's birthday party; Caillou decides that he is Caillou the Great. With magic words, Caillou makes his magic penny and Gilbert, disappear and reappear.

Finding fun ways to play is the theme today. Caillou, Clementine, and Leo are disappointed because they can't go to the zoo. They cheer up after Caillou's Mommy and Daddy help them pretend to be animals themselves. Also today, Caillou, Rosie, and Julie (their babysitter) go on a scavenger hunt and decide to make a surprise craft for Mommy and Daddy with the cool stuff they found. Caillou's big friend Andre has come to visit. Andre is a soccer player and Caillou wants to play too... Only Caillou isn't very good at kicking the ball. He wants to give up, but Andre and Dad encourage him and eventually he makes the biggest kick of the day. Then, when Caillou's kite-flying plans are defeated by rain, he creates a pirate ship in his living room.

Caillou, Grandpa and Dad go for a special hike in the woods. Caillou has to catch a falling leaf before it touches the ground. After a while he gets frustrated but Grandpa tells him to try and try again, that is the only way. And it pays off! Caillou gets frustrated while learning to tie his shoes, but by watching Rosie he learns you can succeed if you keep trying. Also today, Caillou goes to the swimming pool where Daddy teaches Caillou how to swim. After a few lessons, Caillou gets better and better and soon he can swim on his own. Then, Caillou discovers baseball for the first time. He wants to play and patiently Dad works at teaching him. Caillou is all ready to throw in the towel as each toss passes him by, but when he sees Sarah and Billy really doing it he gets an opportunity to practice what he's learned. A few more lessons and Caillou is on his way to becoming a neighbourhood baseball player.

Caillou Roller Skates: Caillou wants to learn how to roller skate... until he realizes roller skating is very difficult. With a little help and guidance from his pre-teen friend, Daniel, Caillou decides to keep practicing, so his skills will improve - just like Daniel's did! Educational Objective: Perseverance; the importance of practicing skills in order to improve. Say Lettuce!: Caillou wants to take a picture of a bunny rabbit in Grandma's garden, but it proves a harder task then he originally thought. With a little perseverance (and a little lettuce from the garden) he finally sees the task through to the end - and gets a photo he's proud of! Educational Objective: Perseverance. ' Caillou Tries to Whistle: Clementine can whistle, and Caillou can't! Caillou tries his best to learn and practices every where he goes... but he just can't seem to get the hang of it and this embarrasses him. Mommy and Daddy reassure him this skill will come with time, but Caillou feels much better when he realizes there are things he can do that Clementine can't do - like wiggling his ears! Adventure! (#422) Duration: 28:46 STEREO TVY

Today is full of adventure! Caillou, Daddy, and Rosie take the car to the carwash, which is scary for Rosie at first. But big brother Caillou explains everything to his sister, who winds up liking the carwash too! Caillou, Rosie, and their babysitter Julie travel to a bunch of pretend far away places like the desert, a big mountain, and even waterfalls in the tropical forest. Caillou doesn't go to school yet but he really wants to ride on the school bus that stops outside his house every morning. When Dad takes him to see the bus from close up, the driver offers to take Caillou with the other children the next day. On another day, Caillou and his family have a wonderful day out at a theme park. Caillou and Dad go on the thrilling Niagara River Ride, they all go on a Ferris wheel and for a special treat they have cotton candy for dessert. When the house wakes up late, it's a mad rush to get Mommy off to work. Later, when Caillou goes for a walk with Daddy he meets all kinds of people doing all kinds of jobs--and he gets to try being a mailman, a sanitation engineer and a policeman for himself.

While at Grandma and Grandpa's house, Caillou looks for a special hiding place. Grandpa shows Caillou the special place his Daddy used to hide in when he was Caillou's age. Caillou is very excited about the neighborhood rummage sale until he's asked to figure out what he'd like to contribute. He's not so sure he wants to part with any of his toys. But in the end he's pretty happy with the new stuff he comes home with. When Caillou's brand new T-shirt is ruined by grape juice Grandma diverts disaster by recycling it and turning into a one-of-a-kind shirt that is tie-dyed with grape-juice star bursts. Caillou helps Mommy clean out the attic when they come across an old chest, and discover neat treasures inside. Caillou and Mom go to the library for story time. Caillou has scribbled on one of the books he borrowed, and is afraid to bring it back. Clementine's Mom who is in charge of story time cleans the book. Caillou takes home a new book and this time, he will be extra careful with it.

Caillou goes in the water with Dad and later, a seagull tries to steal his sandwich! Then Caillou sees a hermit crab and finally he and Dad build a sandcastle. Caillou misses his friend Sarah when she goes away on an all-summer trip to China. Grandpa tells Caillou about the time when his Daddy was a little boy and they went on a camping trip. Caillou loves the idea of camping and he and Grandpa set up the tent in the garden.

When Mom is busy on the phone all morning and doesn't have time for Caillou he feels very left out of things. He plays with his toy phone and then talks to Grandma on the real phone. He likes talking on the phone--it makes him feel very grown up. Caillou learns there are many different ways to communicate. He makes friends with Robbie, a deaf boy he meets in the park, and learns how to communicate using sign language. After getting caught in the rain, Caillou looses his voice, but manages to find other ways to communicate until his voice comes back. Caillou wants to be taller like his friend Jim and tries to think of a way to grow faster. Mom and Dad measure him on his growth chart and show him he has grown a whole inch since last time, but that's just not enough. Later when a plumbing problem requires someone small to help out, Caillou finds out there are some benefits to being just his size.

What's Ringette?: Caillou and Leo want to play hockey and are disappointed when they arrive at the rink to find Sarah and Clementine playing "ringette". Caillou has never heard of ringette before, and he doesn't want to play the game...until he learns that Mommy used to play! She teaches him a few moves, and when Caillou and Leo realize it's a lot like hockey, they're eager to join the girls' next game. Educational Objective: Keeping an open mind about trying something new. Rainy Day at the Beach: Caillou and his family are supposed to be enjoying a nice day at the beach, but it's cloudy and rainy. Autumn brings fresh cool air and fun surprises. Caillou and Rosie have a ball playing in the piles of fallen leaves in the backyard. Come October, Caillou and Dad make a jack-o-lantern, Grandma bakes her grandkids a pumpkin pie, and Caillou goes trick-or-treating as an astronaut. In November, Thanksgiving seems like a big hassle until Mom and Dad explain its significance, which gets Caillou into the spirit. Caillou can't wait until he is old enough to go to school. Since Sarah has no brother or sister, she invites Caillou to a little brother or sister day at school. The school is big and Caillou is a little afraid. But with Sarah's help Caillou has a lot of fun, he even draws on the blackboard.

Jonas, a friend of Dad's and a real cowboy, has invited the family to visit his ranch. Caillou learns a lot about horses, and he even gets to brush a pony named Lucky. When Dad's burning toast triggers the fire alarm, he decides it is the perfect opportunity to practice a fire drill. Caillou gets the family together to go over a basic evacuation plan, and happily spends the afternoon pretending to be a firefighter. Later, Caillou accompanies Mom to the grocery store and brings along some money from his piggybank. Caillou finds a way to spend his money: he gets his face painted by a lady at the store. Caillou and his Mommy are preparing a picnic lunch. Caillou would like to leave right away, but it's not lunchtime yet and Mom and Dad have other things to finish before they leave. To help Caillou wait, Dad gives him a small alarm clock and a special assignment: to let everybody know when it's noon. When Mr. Hinkle has a tree cut down, Caillou is afraid his swing tree is next! Dad decides to plant a new tree so it's a trip to the Nursery. Caillou learns about the differences between trees with needles and leaves.

It's Valentine's day and Caillou is invited to a Valentine's party at his best friend Leo's house. When he gets to the party, he finds a mysterious Valentine card addressed to him! A little investigation back home leads him to his secret admirer: a little sister with a big heart. It is a rainy day and Caillou is disappointed because he will not be able to go play at the park with Grandma. Caillou's mood changes when he discovers an old photo of a younger Grandpa and Grandma dancing along with the first-prize ribbon they won at a dancing contest. With Grandma as his partner, Caillou follows her lead and learns to dance in the living room. When Dad's baseball team, the Tigers, is playing a game at the park, Caillou, Rosie and Mom, go to cheer him on. Although he's too little to go up and bat, Caillou becomes part of the team as the water boy and does a great job. Caillou has to learn that the guest comes first. When Leo comes over for a sleep-over, Caillou sees that Leo misses home a bit. Caillou decides to lend Leo his favorite dinosaur pajamas. The two friends find a perfect solution to make them both happy and have the best sleep-over ever! When Mom and Rosie go to the store, Caillou stays at home with his Daddy, and has a lot of fun imitating him and helping him with the chores.

Caillou is excited when Miss Martin takes him and his friends to the park for some special activities. They have a beanbag race, but the rules are not easy to grasp, and the kids have a few comical mishaps in the process. Caillou discovers that you don't always have to win to be proud of yourself. Grandma has given Caillou a special spaceship plate. Caillou loves it so much that he carries it everywhere with him and he wants to eat every meal from it. After finding a photograph of a four-year-old Dad with a model train set, Caillou and Dad decide to look for it in Grandpa's basement. After a while, they finally find it and set it up to test it out. Grandma captures the moment in a photograph which Caillou decides to put in the photo album beside the old picture of Dad. When Caillou spots a dog house outside he gets the idea that Gilbert might like a house of his own. Caillou finds a cardboard box and some crayons and with Gilbert's help, he decides how to decorate the house. Grandma takes Caillou on a special visit to a sheep farm. There, Mary, a 10-year-old girl, takes Caillou on a tour, teaching him about sheep, sheering, and the spinning of wool.

When their car breaks down, the family goes shopping for a new one. Caillou has never seen so many shiny cars and especially likes the one with 'no roof' that they go for a ride in. Caillou and family go on a trip on Helen's boat, an old friend of Mom's. Caillou is surprised to find there's a whole house packed into the boat. Caillou learns about wind and sails, and even gets to steer the boat too!

Big Kid Caillou: Caillou's older friend Andre is coming over to play, but Caillou is a little worried that his toys are too 'little kid-ish". When Caillou tapes 'pretend lenses' to the frames - and can't see where he's going around the house - he finally realizes the importance of having good vision. Caillou elicits advice from various family members, and feels more confused than ever when they each show him a different way to dance. When Caillou's family makes a springtime visit to Jonas' ranch, he takes them on a sleigh ride to a maple forest where Caillou discovers how the maple sap is collected from maple trees and gets to help collect some. The twins, Jason and Jeffrey, have come to play with Caillou in the snow. An investigation into some small tracks in the snow, leads them to a mischievous and playful squirrel that soon has them running around the yard. Exhausted, they drop in the snow and make some tracks of their own: snow angels. When Caillou, Rosie and Mom head to the big park, Caillou sees Andre and they decide to build a snow fort. Sarah shows up and the boys put the fort to the test as they start a fun snow fight. Caillou and his family are heading to the tobogganing hill! What fun it is to climb the hill and race down surrounded by people having a good time. Caillou is curious when they see a sled dog and his master giving a sled show. He even gets to ride the sled with Rosie! When Mom drives Sarah to her skating lesson, Caillou decides he wants to take skating lessons too!

Caillou and family go on a trip on Helen's boat, an old friend of Mom's. Caillou is surprised to find there's a whole house packed into the boat. Caillou learns about wind and sails, and even gets to steer the boat too! When Mom and Dad are getting ready to go out to a restaurant, Caillou doesn't understand why he can't go too! He's disappointed until Julie the babysitter suggests they make their own restaurant, complete with menus! When Caillou accidentally breaks one of his toys because his room is a mess, Mom suggests a way to make cleaning up fun: with colourful stickers and a chart. Now Caillou and Rosie get to pick out their very own stickers for brushing their teeth and cleaning up the toys in their bedrooms! When Caillou dresses himself, he learns that when you put your pants on backwards, you can change and put them on right. When he sees Dad and Grandpa in suits and ties for a big party, he changes into his grownup clothes too. Jonas, a friend of Dad's and a real cowboy, has invited the family to visit his ranch. Caillou had never met a real cowboy before. Caillou learns a lot about horses; he gets to brush a pony named Lucky, he even gets his very own cowboy hat!

So Caillou, with Mommy's help, puts up a Lost and Found Poster, and then, finds 'Dino' at the Park Office Lost and Found! When the washing machine needs fixing, Caillou ends up helping Bob the repairman. Inspired, Caillou helps Dad hammer a nail and glue the leg onto a wobbly stool too! Caillou accompanies Grandma to the Senior's residence where he finds out 'driving' the meal cart is more fun than driving his toy truck. Caillou even helps push Mrs. Wilson around in her wheelchair, proving to be the best driver she's ever had! When Sarah asks to borrow Caillou's wagon for her new paper route, Caillou offers to help too! Caillou, with Daddy's help, learns about getting up early, folding the papers and delivering them too. When Mom drives Sarah to her skating lesson, Caillou decides he wants to take skating lessons too!

Mom and Rosie go to the store; Caillou stays at home with his Daddy, and has a lot of fun imitating him and helping him with the chores. When Sarah shows Caillou and Leo her new remote controlled robot, the boys get a great idea to be robots too! They have fun taking turns 'controlling' each other with their own remote control. Leo comes over to play at Caillou's house. They have fun pretending to be bears until Sarah shows up wearing a GY (white Karate outfit). Sarah introduces Caillou and Leo to Karate and demonstrates a few moves. Later, Caillou wants to play with his animal cards but they have disappeared. A search soon reveals that Rosie has been playing with them, scattering them around the house. Caillou's new mission: to find them! So Caillou and Rosie head out on a safari, working together to find the animal cards. When Caillou visits Clementine, he is impressed to see Billy practicing on a Tuba. Soon, Billy's marching band mates arrive to practice. Clementine and Caillou make their own pretend horns with cardboard tubes.

Caillou's Shadow: Caillou likes it when Miss Martin calls him a "shadow scientist"...so much so, he's afraid to admit he doesn't know everything about shadows! When Caillou's curiosity gets the better of him, he learns it's much easier to find the answers you're looking for when you ask questions. Educational Objective: Not being afraid to ask questions; deductive reasoning. High Flyers: Daniel comes for a visit and thinks he knows how to put together a model plane...without the instructions. When the plane doesn't fly properly, Caillou finally gets the courage to point out a poorly connected piece. They fix the plane and Daniel acknowledges that Caillou knows a lot for a little kid! Educational Objective: Learning to speak up and express opinions. Caillou's Leaf Pile: Caillou has fun jumping in the fall leaves with Daddy. When Daddy cleans up all the leaves, Caillou still wants to jump. He tries a few options, but doesn't get the results he was hoping for. Olive Muddle: Grandma brings over some delicious treats for the kids to try - only they're full of olives. Caillou doesn't like olives, but he doesn't know how to tell Grandma he doesn't like her cherished dishes...until...he can't stand to eat another one! Caillou blurts out the truth and realizes Grandma isn't upset - everyone has likes and dislikes - even her! Educational Objective: The importance of honesty; communicating with others. Caillou's Clay Play: Caillou and Leo accidentally break Rosie's clay poodle while playing. Instead of telling the truth, they try to make another clay poodle for Rosie...but end up with a few misshapen oddities - e.g. a lionoodle and an elephantoodle. When Caillou and Leo finally confess, it turns out Rosie is equally happy with her new and unique clay creatures. Educational Objective: Realizing it's better to tell the truth after damaging someone's property. The Lightning Ball Express: Mrs. Howard brings over an old train set for Caillou to play with. Caillou has much fun with it...until he breaks the train! Instead of telling Mrs. Howard, Caillou attempts to hide from her. When his rouse fails, Caillou confesses to breaking the train and is surprised to learn that Mrs. Howard's son broke it many a time as a child...and she knows how to fix it! Caillou Can Compost: Caillou wants to be an amazing magician - and has Grandma got a trick for him! She shows Caillou her composter, and soon, Caillou is determined to make "gardening gold" appear all on his own. Mommy and Daddy are very impressed when Caillou the magician eventually turns their household scraps into compost! Educational Objective: The magic of compost; seeing a task through to the end. Caillou's Tree: When Daddy must cut down an old decaying tree, Caillou is upset. Where will the birds and squirrels will live? He and Daddy make a visit to a tree farm, where they buy a big new tree to replace the old one. Educational Objective: The importance of dealing with change in a positive and pro-active way. Caillou Saves Water: When Miss Martin asks the class to think up ways to save water, Caillou takes it to heart. He tries to stop taking baths, and wants to stop brushing his teeth, but Mommy, of course, won't let him. Bunny Shmunny: Caillou doesn't seem to appreciate how much time Mommy spends doing things for him (like cooking and picking up clothes)... until Caillou spends a lot of time making a paper mache bunny for Rosie. When Rosie couldn't care less about Caillou's bunny, he finally realizes how it feels when someone is unappreciative of the hard work that's done for them. Caillou decides to make amends with Mommy. Educational Objective: Showing others you appreciate their work. That's Mine!: When Rosie accidentally scratches Caillou's bike, Caillou is determined to take back all of his toys and keep their things separate...until he accidentally breaks Daddy's guitar string. Then Caillou realizes accidents happen sometimes. He forgives Rosie and decides to share his toys once again. Caillou continually blames Rosie...and he discovers it was Gilbert who ran off with the little planet! Caillou apologizes to his sister, realizing he shouldn't jump to conclusions. Educational Objective: The importance of not jumping to conclusions; blaming others. Emma's Extra Snacks: Caillou is confused when Emma is allowed to have extra snacks at preschool. He's even more confused when Miss Martin explains that Emma has Type 1 Diabetes. Worried about his friend, Caillou becomes very protective of Emma, not wanting her to do anything - not even go down the slide! But when Emma outruns Caillou in a race, he soon realizes Emma's diabetes isn't like a cold or flu. It's something Emma has to live with every day...and she's doing a pretty good job of it. Educational Objective: Realizing having a chronic illness doesn't mean one needs to put one's life on hold. Lost and Found: When things begin to go missing around the house - like Mommy's keys - Mommy blames Gilbert. Caillou is sure Gilbert didn't take them...and he sets out to prove it! Together, Caillou, Mommy and Rosie backtrack through the house and eventually discover Caillou's theory was right - Gilbert didn't take the keys -- Mommy left them in the door handle! Caillou's Mini Marathon: Caillou wants to run a marathon, just like Daddy. His father explains that marathons are for grown-ups, but Caillou insists he can do it! Caillou and Daddy go running together, and Caillou discovers it's harder than it looks. When he sees Rosie dawdling along, Caillou realizes that everyone runs at their own speed and ability - and he decides to run a mini-marathon instead! Educational Objective: Accepting limitations and choosing appropriate goals. Smooth Sailing: Caillou likes sailing with Daddy and Grandpa. Only, he wants to be Captain! Grandpa and Daddy try to convince him that his job - as Lookout - is very important, but Caillou isn't convinced. ..until he helps them find Treasure Cove by spotting various landmarks and leading the way. Educational Objective: Learning that everyone's job is important. Am I Big Yet?: Rosie has had a growth spurt and Caillou wants one too. He tries desperately to grow bigger - by eating lots, and exercising, and even trying to sleep during the day. But nothing works! Copycat Clementine: Caillou is annoyed! Clementine is being a copycat - and Caillou doesn't like it. When Clementine copies his artwork at preschool, Caillou thinks this is the last straw...until Clementine admits she's copying him because she really likes his artwork! With help from Miss Martin, Caillou realizes this is a compliment and he feels much better about Clementine's copycat ways. Educational Objective: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery; people can build on each other's ideas in a very positive way. Caillou's Poster: Caillou is excited about the opportunity to draw a poster for his friend Ted, at the grocery store. When Caillou gets his friends to help him with the poster, but doesn't share the credit, Leo is upset. Caillou realizes he needs to make things right again - and he has the perfect solution: he includes his friends in a photo shoot with their collective "masterpiece". Only, Caillou worries that his "help" is creating havoc - until Mrs. Howard explains that Caillou has been a big help - simply by being there as a friend. Educational Objective: Friendship is often the best form of help. Caillou's Fun Run: Caillou is determined to win a ribbon in the "Charity Fun Run" and is disappointed when Daddy sprains his ankle. Grandpa offers to take Daddy's place, but he isn't a very fast runner. Now they'll never win a ribbon! As Caillou and Grandpa dawdle through town, Caillou comes to realize that everyone is a winner when they run for charity - because they're doing something nice for the community. Borrowed Book: Miss Martin agrees to loan Caillou a preschool book, as long as he promises to take good care of it. Caillou agrees, but when he returns home he soon realizes the book is gone. Oh no! He lost it! Feeling badly, Caillou goes to great lengths to recreate the book - only to find out he left it in the preschool's playground. Educational Objective: Owning up to ones mistakes; responsibility. Fixing Mr. Bones: When Leo accidentally breaks Mr. Bones (Miss Martin's model skeleton) he hides the evidence and tries to get Caillou to help him put Mr. Bones back together - with disastrous results. Admitting their mistake enables Daddy to help the boys put Mr. Bones back together properly - only to learn Mr. Bones is supposed to come apart! Educational Objective: Admitting mistakes. Cailloodles: Jeffrey and Jason are having fun making up silly names for their classmates. But they don't realize they're hurting others' feelings. Caillou isn't sure what to do - until a chat with Daddy inspires him to speak up and tell Jeffrey and Jason how he feels. When the twins realize their jokes aren't funny to everyone, they decide to stick to calling each other names. Grandpa insists spending time together is the best gift Caillou could give him...and he's plenty surprised when they arrive back at the house to find it's full of family and friends. Educational Objective: Realizing time spent together is the best gift. Class Pet: Caillou is very excited to look after Hamish, the class hamster, for the weekend. He's soooo excited, he ignores his own pet, Gilbert. When Gilbert disappears, Caillou realizes he's been unfair to his cat and sets out to make things right again. In the Garden: Caillou wants to surprise Daddy with a weed-free garden for his birthday, but soon finds there's one major challenge - Rosie! While Caillou wants to pull the weeds, Rosie wants to pull the flowers. Caillou tries to keep Rosie busy and out of the flower beds, but nothing seems to work, until...he realizes Rosie can pull the dandelions! Not only does Rosie help with the weeding, but she also puts together a lovely dandelion bouquet for Daddy. Educational Objective: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; problem solving.

Today is full of celebrations! It's Caillou's birthday! He is having a party with all of his friends, and he gets a very special gift that he wanted. Caillou learns about the Chinese New Year. He even tries some Chinese delicacies, but most exciting of all, he gets to see the famous dragon dance! Also, Caillou and Grandma throw Grandpa a surprise belated birthday party! Grandpa is surprised, and very happy! After seeing Bravo the magician doing some tricks at Leo's birthday party; Caillou decides that he is Caillou the Great. With magic words, Caillou makes his magic penny and Gilbert, disappear and reappear.

Caillou's Camel Ride: Caillou is afraid to go on a camel ride after Leo tells him camels are mean and they like to spit! At the zoo, Caillou tries everything he can think of to avoid the camels. When Mommy and Daddy finally catch on to Caillou's hesitation, they insist he doesn't have to ride a camel, but should at least see a real camel and decide for himself. As Caillou learns about the camel from its trainer, he feels better and finally decides to take that camel ride. Educational Objective: Having the correct information can reduce and even conquer fears. It's Not Too Big For Me!: Caillou is keen to go sledding on the "Big Hill" until he stands at the top of the hill and realizes it really IS BIG. Daddy senses Caillou is afraid to admit he's not ready for the big hill and gives Caillou an out by saying Rosie needs someone to play with on the little hill. Later, when Andre decides to sled down the big hill, but he too is afraid, Caillou helps his friend by asking Andre to sled on the little hill with him. Educational Objective: Recognizing limits and realizing it's okay to be afraid. Caillou's Flying Saucer: Caillou thinks he's seen a flying saucer in his yard just like the one in his comic books and is determined to prove it to his friends! Trying to catch a flying saucer is much harder than he thought and Caillou is disappointed when he eventually discovers it is only a tin plate blowing around in the wind. Now what will he tell his friends? Caillou feels better when he realizes he solved the mystery, regardless of what the flying saucer turned out to be. Educational Objective: Not jumping to conclusions; looking for evidence to prove or disprove a theory.

Mommy, Daddy, and Rosie are all busy, and Caillou is bored and frustrated...until he meets a ladybug who inadvertently shows Caillou that his family members aren't the only ones who are busy - so are the birds and squirrels and ants. Caillou comes to realize that everyone is busy sometimes - even animals and insects - and he decides to get busy too. ..drawing his new friends. Educational Objective: The importance of being able to entertain oneself. Caillou's Bad Luck: Caillou is having a bad day - he spilled his juice and broke a toy, and he's worried his bad luck won't go away when he reads a poem at preschool the next day. When Mrs. Howard suggests that Caillou change his luck with a "lucky charm", Caillou goes on a search for lucky pennies and four leaf clovers...only to realize it isn't luck he needs - it's confidence and practice. Educational Objective: Making your own luck; practice makes perfect.

Kitty Conundrum: Caillou finds a tiny kitten while desperately searching for his beloved Rexy. He wants to keep the kitten, even though Mommy and Daddy say 'no' - they have Gilbert! When Samantha comes to the door to claim her lost kitten, "Whiskers", Caillou fetches the kitty...and finds Rexy! He remembers it isn't fun losing something you care about, and happily returns the kitty to its rightful owner. Educational Objective: Returning a lost pet to a rightful owner; perspective taking. Caillou's Favourite Sweater: Grandma has knit Caillou a wonderful sweater. He loves it and wears it every day - even after it gets dirty! Finally, on a hot day, Caillou decides to take it off. When he accidentally leaves the sweater in the playground and goes home for the day, he worries something terrible has happened to it. Grandma will be so upset with him! When Mommy and Caillou return the next day to find the sweater is fine, Caillou vows to never wear it again. He decides to keep it in his drawer, nice and safe - until Grandma explains it's okay to wear the sweater - it's meant to be worn - just not everyday. Educational Objective: All things in moderation; taking care of one's possessions. Caillou's Big Dig: Caillou is feeling frustrated while trying to build a model truck. He decides he wants to quit! Daddy suggests Caillou take a break and join him on an errand. Together, they stop by Eric's dig site, where Caillou learns a little bit about archaeology - and he learns that some things take time and effort, but the effort is worth it in the end. Caillou returns home to finish his model, and is proud that he did. Educational Objective: Good things are worth working for.

In fact, he's so excited, he can't stop conducting those around him - at preschool and even at home! When Caillou refuses to share his conductor's baton he soon learns how easy it is to hurt other's feelings - and how it feels better to give others a turn. Educational Objective: The importance of giving others a turn; sharing. Captain Caillou: Captain Caillou and Fantastic Leo are enjoying 'flying' around the house, pretending to be superheroes. Only, they can't seem to share the task of saving the world! Each wants to be the big hero in charge of their important 'rescue'. When Daddy asks them to lend a hand in weeding out the wild weed ogres, Caillou and Leo come to realize things would go a lot smoother if they worked together. Educational Objective: Cooperating; working as a team. Caillou Roars: After watching a nature show about lions, Caillou decides he wants to be a lion! He roars and paws his way around the house, causing Mommy and Daddy to remind him that there's a time and place for everything. Caillou realizes the downside of being a lion when his 'roars' scare a baby in the park. He decides there really is a time and place for everything - and sometimes, he just needs to be a boy. Educational Objective: Pretending is fun, but there's a time and place for everything.
