Yosemite National Park has been scarred by several big fires in recent years, the latest contained less than two months ago. New research suggests Yosemite is likely to face even more fire in its future, and the reasons include climate change.

State Rules Out Power Line Shutdown
State utility regulators rejected a proposal from San Diego Gas and Electric to shut down power in some rural areas on hot, windy days. The plan was intended to prevent wildfires sparked by power lines.

Santa Barbara's Jesusita Wildfire
More than 2,000 firefighters are battling the Jesusita Wildfire in the coastal communities of Santa Barbara County. Dozens of houses have been destroyed, and at least 30,000 residents are under order to evacuate. We spent the day along the fire line, talking to those fighting the fire and to residents who were reluctant to leave their homes behind.
