Al Franken is the U.S. Senator of Minnesota. Before running for the Senate, Sen. Franken spent 37 years as a comedy writer, author and radio talk show host. He is best known for his stint on Saturday Night Live during the 1970s and 1980s. Franken was first elected to the US Senate in 2008, and re-elected in 2014. His latest book, Al Franken, Giant of the Senate, was a New York Times Best Seller.

Lyle Lovett, Singer/Actor (Episode #801)

Lyle Lovett is a singer, composer and actor. Since his self-titled debut in 1986, Lovett has released 14 albums that fuse elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues. He has won four Grammy Awards, including Best Male Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Album. Lovett was also named Texas State Musician.

      (DT25.1 through 25.3) Recent storms have taken out dozens of trees on Fremont Peak, which in turn have taken down power lines leading to the transmission tower located on the peak.
