Downton Abbey Trivia

Guinness World Records awarded Downton Abbey with the accolade of the “Highest critical review ratings for a TV show.” This means Downton Abbey is the most critically well-received television program in the world, snatching the title from Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, and Modern Family, which all shared the previous record in 2009.

Downton Abbey was watched by 13 million viewers when it aired on Masterpiece on PBS in 2011. It averaged an impressive Metacritic score of 92 out of 100, compared with 86 out of 100 achieved by the three previous recordsetting shows.
