1:30 pmChangemakers {V-Me} [#6] What Moves You? Changemakers is a series dedicated to the people who are crazy enough to believe they can change the world - and who are doing just that. In this ground-breaking series for BBC3, Changemakers brings a fresh perspective to traditional journalism. Borrowing innovative film-making techniques more usually associated with advertising, music videos and films, and driven by an eclectic contemporary soundtrack, Changemakers is reinvigorating current affairs. From Fernando Quiroz, providing life-saving water for illegal immigrants in the desert of the US-Mexico border, to Aki Ra and his single-handed mine clearance, Changemakers brings stories of amazing people from all over the planet. Changemakers has travelled the world to find stunning stories of inspiration, courage and dedication. From the mean streets of San Salvador's gangland to the tropical idyll of Tuvalu, Changemakers is a truly global series, profiling fifty men, women and childen from over twenty countries. Each episode profiles six Changemakers from different parts of the world: people who are standing up for their beliefs, fighting to protect their community, or leading technological and social change. Changemakers profiles people as contrasting as Juan Guillermo Ocampo, who is transforming the lives of Medellin's children by teaching them to play musical instruments, and Ignatius Piazza, who offers specialist weapons training to the upright citizens of Nevada. In each programme a unique collection of voices from around the world is brought together the under a different theme, linked by vox pops and stylised montages. Changemakers brings together perspectives as diverse as the vigilante Bakassi Boys of Nigeria or sanctions buster Jo Baker. Editorially neutral, the programme engages viewers with a series of questions based on the programme's themes. Whether the ultra-cool high tech robotic surgery pioneered by Jacques Marescaux or the simple anti-drugs message preached by boy monk Sam Mauen in the wilds of northern Thailand, the Changemakers are united in their passion to change their communities and their energy in making it happen. Changemakers brings news from the frontline, from war zones such as Afghanistan or Iraq, to the kitchen of drugs legalisation campaigner Jerry Ham. Changemakers marches alongside sex workers union leader Ana Lopes, and dives into the waters of the river Ganges which Amit Vyaas is trying to clean. duration 25:00 STEREO (Secondary audio: Spanish)

Taped in July of 2010 at New York's Neil Simon Theatre, the evening features a 20-piece swing band and a 10-piece string section, with the star on both a Steinway grand and upright honky-tonk piano. Among the mix of standards, show tunes and jazz classics are such evergreens as "It Had to Be You," "Hey, There" (from Connick's recent hit revival of The Pajama Game), "You Don't Know Me," "Some Enchanted Evening," "Mona Lisa," "The Way You Look Tonight," "Who Can I Turn to?" "Sweet Georgia Brown," "Take Her to the Mardi Gras" (from his 2001 Broadway musical, Thou Shalt Not), and "St. James Infirmary." Connick is backed by a cadre of top flight musicians, including trombonist Lucien Barbarin, trumpeter Mark Braud, saxophonist Jerry Weldon, bassist Neal Caine, and drummer Arthur Latin. duration 1:28:00 STEREO (Secondary audio: Spanish)
