The last two shows serve as review so the viewer has a chance to make certain they followed and understood correctly. In addition, if the viewer missed a show, the Thursday and Friday review days bring them up-to-date. At the onset, the program is strictly teaching the "building blocks" of yoga exercise. As the series progresses, the work becomes more demanding. However, there is an effort to always have a fair balance of some basically simple postures mixed in so that everyone will have an opportunity to participate. duration 13:46 CC -

12:30 pmMexico - One Plate at a Time with Rick Bayless [#613]
Street Fare Tonight!
After giving viewers a quick on-location crash course in Mexican street food, Rick gets an idea. Why not create a one-night-only Mexican street-food stall right in his Chicago home kitchen as the centerpiece of an unforgettable cocktail party? And with that, he shows how to pull off three authentic Mexican street snacks. There are Molotes Poblanos-miniature blue corn masa turnovers with a choice of fillings: mushroom, potato-chorizo, and roasted poblano chiles with cheese; mouthwatering Tacos de Bistec con Nopales with juicy griddled steak, strips of nopal cactus and a drizzle of spicy tomatillo-arbol salsa; and Huaraches-griddled masa flatbreads, topped like pizzas with chorizo and tomatillo salsa. Rick mixes up some Agua de Jamaica-a bright red hibiscus-flower elixir that's refreshing on its own and a perfect base for Mexican Cosmopolitans-and sets out some cut-up veggies, sprinkled with lime and chile, street vendor-style. And then, he transforms the stove and countertop into a street stall, complete with lights and decorations. The guests mingle in the kitchen (which, after all, is everyone's favorite place to hang out), as Rick finishes the food on the griddle. And the irresistible combination of that made-to-order immediacy and great cocktails makes for a fiesta with some serious Mexican street cred. duration 26:46 CC STEREO TVG -

7:00 pmDean Martin - The One & Only
He was a beloved American icon - the coolest, the most debonair, the smoothest entertainer of the 1960s and 70s. This special is a loving and moving tribute to one of the most admired and multi-talented performers the world has ever known. While one of America's top vocalists, Dino was also an accomplished, serious film actor, appearing in The Young Lions, Toys In The Attic, Some Came Running, Rio Bravo, and many others. And with his Martin & Lewis comedy background, he was also adept at light comedy in films like Ocean's Eleven, What A Way To Go, and Ten Thousand Bedrooms. At the same time, Dean's NBC variety hour, The Dean Martin Show, ran for 9 highly-rated years and spawned his equally well-watched Celebrity Roast specials.
The program takes us through his entire life and career, from growing up in Steubenville, Ohio (where he was born Dino Paul Crochetti) through his early days as first a boxer, and then a handsome young crooner, then his teaming with comedian Jerry Lewis in movies, television, and on stage. The breakup of Martin & Lewis was followed by Dean's growth as a huge record seller and movie star, followed by his teaming with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop in the legendary Rat Pack of movies and the Las Vegas stage. The film features performance clips from Martin & Lewis' comedy career, and we also see their live television reunion, after many years of not speaking to each other. Interview segments include Dean himself, Jerry Lewis, Dean's wife Jeannie and daughter Deana, his producer Greg Garrison, and William Schoell, his biographer. duration 57:50 TVG -

9:00 pmFrank Sinatra - The Man & The Myth
Francis Albert Sinatra - agreed by many to be the greatest entertainer in the history of American pop culture. This biography is a revealing portrait of a true American legend, from his boyhood in Hoboken, New Jersey, through his stratospheric career as the singer's singer, an actor, and one of the most powerful figures in the history of American show business, a/k/a "The Chairman of the Board."
The program spans Sinatra's 60 years as an entertainer, starting with his bobby-soxer teen idol days with Tommy Dorsey's Orchestra, his first Hollywood career in the 1940s (with clips from MGM musicals like Anchors Aweigh and Take Me Out to the Ballgame) through the early 50s and his decline as a singer and film star. The story then takes us to his acceptance of the Academy Award in 1953 for his portrayal of St. Maggio in From Here To Eternity, the turning point of his career.
The film also includes clips from early Sinatra dramatic film roles in The Man With The Golden Arm and Suddenly and the Rat Pack classic, Ocean's Eleven, as well as scenes from the Rat Pack performing in Las Vegas. Songs performed by Sinatra in archival footage include This Love of Mine, The House I Live In, his classic version of Ol' Man River, and a wonderful duet with Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong on The Birth of the Blues.
The bio doesn't ignore his romances with Lauren Bacall, Ava Gardner, Juliette Prowse, Marilyn Monroe, and young Mia Farrow who became his third wife. There is also an extensive sequence on his support of President John F. Kennedy and his later falling-out with the Kennedy family. Actors Robert Loggia and Jack Scalia, Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, former Dodgers' Manager Tommy Lasorda, comedian Pat Cooper, and author Gay Talese are interviewed. duration 57:45 TVG -
