1:00 amBrainChange with David Perlmutter, MD This program reveals the devastating truth about the effects of wheat, sugar, and carbohydrates on the human brain, with a 30-day plan to achieve optimum health. Renowned neurologist David Perlmutter, MD, blows the lid off a topic that's been buried in medical literature for far too long: carbs are destroying your brain. And not just unhealthy carbs, but even healthy ones like whole grains can cause dementia, ADHD, anxiety, chronic headaches, depression, and much more.
The vast majority of us don't realize that our seemingly "healthy" daily habits are silently aggravating our nervous systems and setting us up for serious brain ailments. This program shows that the fate of your brain is not in your genes. It's in the food you eat. Dr. Perlmutter, a leading international authority on nutritional medicine, has a disturbing yet empowering message: our brains are highly sensitive to certain proteins and sugars that are ubiquitous today - in our hand creams and organic ice creams, cocktails and coffees, multi-grain breads, whole fruits, and even brand name pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Perlmutter shows us how to prevent, treat, and reverse a wide array of brain-related disorders by eliminating specific foods from our diets and making smarter lifestyle choices. His new book, Grain Brain, is the first book of its kind to explore the insidious role our highly touted low-fat, high-carb diets play in a host of neurological conditions.
Dr. Perlmutter is both a board-certified neurologist and a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition. He also runs his own private practice, The Perlmutter Health Center, in Naples, Florida. duration 1:27:27 STEREO TVG

Dr. Denese's credentials include a Ph.D. in neuroscience, post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard and an M.D. from Cornell Medical College. duration 1:27:52 STEREO TVG

It's no use, they can't shake "the itch." Not even a new Kratt contraption, the Scratching Machine, can tackle this mighty itch. Sometimes you have an itch, you don't know why and no matter what you do, you can't get rid of it. Jackie's busy picking burrs out of her dog's fur. They went for a walk in the woods, which was a lot of fun, but Goldie came back full of itchy burrs, which is no fun at all. Oscar's mom thinks everyone on Sesame Street is too nice! Oscar finally fixes the car, which makes his mom even angrier. What kind of Grouch fixes things? Bunny thinks that Oscar has lost his grouchiness. Oscar's mom wants to take Bunny back to Grouchland before she loses her grouchiness too.
