Narrated by Levon Helm (The Band), ELVIS '56 captures the sights and sounds of that pivotal year using exclusive, previously unseen photographs shot on tour in 1956, kinescopes of Presley's controversial appearances on TV, plus newsreel clips and radio interviews. Footage of performances on The Milton Berle Show, The Steve Allen Show and The Ed Sullivan Show capture the young, explosively talented Presley on the brink of his soon-to-be superstardom. A radiant appearance. Sound sleep. A happy belly. A robust immune system. Relief from depression and anxiety. A sharp, fast-thinking brain. A great sense of self-confidence and well-being. A super-high quality of life.
These are all terrific goals, and who wouldn't want to achieve them? But such monumental accomplishments don't come without hard work and sacrifices. You can't necessarily turn away from the standard American diet - bread, soda, OJ, sugar, cereal, muffins, bagels, processed foods-and embrace a totally gluten-free, low-carb lifestyle overnight. It takes commitment. It takes effort. But it's doable with the plan outlined in this program.
More than a million people around the world have improved their health-physical, mental, and cognitive - thanks to Dr. Perlmutter's bestselling books. Now the time has come to bring these two forces together in a highly practical, step-by-step holistic lifestyle program. Welcome to Dr. Perlmutter's Whole Life Plan. Dr. Perlmutter puts his ideas into practice in the real world to show you that living your best life is about much more than what you put in your mouth. Roadtrip Nation [#1104H] Rattle The Cage The road-trippers meander through the South, eventually stopping in New Orleans, where they interview a range of individuals, including a chef, a graphic designer, and a veterinarian at a chimpanzee sanctuary. Later, on an airboat tour through the swamps of Lafitte, the team is surprised to learn that their boat operator is also an alligator wrestler whose involvement with the sport is rooted in a Native American tradition that dates back hundreds of years.
Next, the road-trippers make the drive up to St. Louis, Missouri, where they participate in a Zombie Fun Run. Olivia reflects on her affinity for life on the road, noting her appreciation for the way that traveling shakes you out of your habits and "rattles the cage."
Moving on to Washington D.C., the road-trippers interview Ben Drexler, a former non-profit professional who left his traditional 9-to-5 to become a poi (fire) spinner. Ben encourages the road-trippers to think about life as a gift, and challenges them to find their own niches that allow them to express who they are. After learning a bit about the craft, Ed and Tele'jon both give fire spinning a whirl, finding liberation in confronting their fears.
