    This is Us [#501H] * This week we are at Pacific Hotel in History Park San Jose. We're going to take a look back in time through a photography exhibit called, "Through My Father's Eyes." Ricardo Alvarado was a very talented amateur photographer who took thousands of photographs of life in the Filipino American community in the 1940's and 1950's. His daughter Janet found those photographs after her father passed away and we are going to share some of photos and memories with you.
    * We'll also meet an extraordinary woman that was at the forefront of the Civil Rights Movement and hear her story as one the original Freedom Riders.
    * And we will profile a Salinas farmer who was overtaken by history and somehow with grit, luck and courage survived the Bataan Death March and years as a prisoner of war.

Bert has had a terrible accident while working there, and he's bleeding profusely. The sight of blood pouring from Bert's wound begins to trigger the all too familiar panic attacks for Martin. Fabrizio is arrested but Emma insists Rosemary and Laura must prove him innocent. Matters are further complicated when Dr Llewellyn's daughter Celia is discovered not to be the model she claims, but really practicing the 'oldest profession'.     Zoboomafoo [#107] Slimy Buddies Chris, Martin and Zoboo can't get enough of slime after four affectionate St. Bernard puppies lick them. All that licking means that the puppies like them. The St. Bernards are the gang's slimy buddies. More slimy buddies arrive in the form of a giant bullfrog, a Pacman frog, and a Budgetts frog. Frogs need slime to keep them from drying out. Salamanders do, too. Earthworms have slime that helps them slide through tunnels in the ground. Slime is great! Chris, Martin and Zoboo build a slime shower, so they can be slimy, too. Jackie and the Animal Helpers are raking up dead leaves and putting them into the pond to make MudPuppy Pond an even slimier home for mudpuppy salamanders.     Sesame Street [#4307H] Brandeis Is Looking for a Job Brandeis, a yellow Labrador Retriever, is looking for a job on Sesame Street. First, Leela hires him to fold laundry in the Laundromat, but Brandeis has a lot of trouble folding the clothing with his paws. Next, Chris hires him to sweep the floor, but he has trouble holding the broom. Brandeis is sad, but just then, Elmo notices that Gina is working with a dog. She explains that she is training Hercules to be a service dog. A service dog works with people who need special kinds of help. Gina says that it takes a lot of intelligence and training for this career, and Brandeis is up for the challenge! He begins training right away, learning how to do things like opening drawers, turning on lights, and picking up and bringing things. After many weeks of training, Brandeis officially becomes a service dog! He is very excited and nervous about meeting the person he will be helping. Liliana, who is in a wheelchair, is nervous about meeting Brandeis, too. When they first meet, both Liliana and Brandeis aren't sure what to do next. Liliana's book bag slides off her lap, and Brandeis quickly fetches it for her. She laughs happily and thanks Brandeis. She then asks for a glass of milk, and Brandeis motions to follow him into Hooper's store and opens the door for her. Liliana praises him for his hard work. A trip to Splishy Splashy Pond to meet Walker the water strider will show them. Walker shows how he's able to stay on top of the water with the help of air bubbles as he journeys to the other side of the pond. Back at home, Sally and Nick are ready travel to the other side of the pool!

Clifford feels bad for not being there to help, but he makes amends by moving the clock now and restoring harmony to the Sidarsky household.

    Sesame Street [#4317H] Figure It Out Baby Alan and Telly are very excited that their favorite singer, LMNOP, is performing on Sesame Street. Alan is arranging his memorabilia from previous concerts when LMNOP approaches asking where his entourage is. After a phone call, LMNOP finds out that they are in San Diego and says that his performance on Sesame Street will have to be canceled. But Alan and Telly insist that he doesn't leave. Chris reassures LMNOP that they could come up with everything he needs to perform. LMNOP agrees and says that the first thing he needs is a guitar. After learning about how to make one on the internet, Chris, Allen, and Telly are able to construct a guitar out of a paper towel tube, transparent tape, rubber bands, a pencil, and a tissue box. Chris explains that the pencil will help create sound by raising the rubber bands up off the box to make it easier for them to vibrate. LMNOP is ready to try the guitar out on stage but there is no stage. Chris, Allen, and Telly construct a stage out of vegetable crates reinforced with tape so the crates will stay together and be strong enough. It works! LMNOP jumps onto the stage and now asks for a sound check. Together they construct a microphone using lampshades. They will help amplify the sound and make it louder for the audience to hear. The last thing LMNOP needs is flashlights for lights and he's ready to perform! When Caillou sees that his friend Andre doesn't always like being big - because he can't do some of the fun things he did when he was little - Caillou decides it's okay to be little...at least for a little while longer. One is to take some workers to put up direction signs along the mountain trails and the other is to take Sir Topham Hatt and his family to the mountains for a walk. Rusty is so keen to be on time for Sir Topham Hatt that he rushes the workers. He makes them finish without checking their work. Rusty takes the Hatt family to the start of their walk and arranges to meet them at the tea rooms later. When the Hatt Family don't turn up at the end of their walk, Rusty is worried. He searches the mountains and when he finds campers at the quarry, fishermen at the coalmine and skiers at the castle, he realizes that the signposts must be wrong! Rusty quickly deduces where the Hatts must be and races off to find them at Hill Farm! They've had a wonderful day, but Rusty has one more job to do. He fetches the workmen to fix the signs. And this time, he doesn't rush them! A shooting star is due to light up the night sky on the Island of Sodor. All the engines are making wishes. When the power on the island fails, Thomas is sent to the power station with some engineers. Thomas puffs across the island but, desperate to see the shooting star, avoids taking any route that will obstruct his view of the night sky. This made his trip longer and longer. Percy gets worried for Thomas and wishes that Thomas returns safely. Thomas, however, has taken such a long route that he's lost! He wishes he could see so he could take the fastest route. Suddenly the shooting star appears and lights up the sky! The light shows Thomas the way and soon the power is fixed! [#139H] When I Grow Up/Doing It Differently * When I Grow Up - Sally and Nick are trying to guess what they'll be when they grow up when the Cat drops in for a visit. Cat is sure Nick and Sally will never guess what his friend Puggle will be when she grows up. When they see her, they start guessing right away! A frog? A duck? No, a beaver! They discover that, while Puggle may have some similarities to other creatures, she will grow up to be a duck billed platypus!
    * Doing It Differently - Nick and Sally can't seem to find Harvey the guinea pig. They find the Cat in the Hat instead! Cat suggests that Sally and Nick might find Harvey by meeting three friends who always do things differently - like a bird that runs instead of flies, or a cat that swims, or a fish that walks on the mud! Nick and Sally are sure to find Harvey now - by doing it differently!
