Good thing Cat knows where to take the melting snowcat: to the cold and snowy north! In the arctic, the kids skate on a frozen lake, make snow sculptures, and learn that water can freeze and melt when it's cold or warm outside. Because it's getting warmer back home, they leave their snowcat sculpture there so they can come back and visit him!

Sidney takes off, happily singing a song, but when he stops to talk to Gordon, he gets distracted. Forgetting his assignment, he travels to the Waste Dump, the Animal Park, and then Knapford Station, where he rescues passengers trying to reach Brendam Docks. Although he takes a slight detour, in the end, he completes two very special jobs: he delivers Percy's wheels and takes the stranded passengers to their destination on time! Learning Goals: problem-solving, creative thinking, following directions, friendship, compassion Diesel and the Ducklings Diesel always likes to appear rough and tough in front of the other engines. But when Thomas unexpectedly finds Diesel lovingly fussing over some baby ducklings, he threatens to tell everyone that Diesel is a softie. James is in such a hurry to beat Thomas, he doesn't wait to pick up the last load of passengers-the soccer team! Thomas, in his rush to beat James, steams right by Sir Topham Hatt, who is supposed to referee the game. Percy saves the day by transporting the team and Sir Topham Hatt to the game, and Thomas and James learn a valuable lesson about teamwork and good sportsmanship! Learning Goals: teamwork, good sportsmanship, learning from mistakes, responsibility, honesty Best Engine Ever When Emily breaks down and disrupts a race between Connor and Caitlin, Caitlin shunts Emily to the Steamworks, causing Emily to travel faster than ever before. When Caitlin's brakes fail, Emily races to save her from an accident, proving to herself that she too is a Really Useful Engine.     Caillou [#430] I'm Learning Jonas, a friend of Dad's and a real cowboy, has invited the family to visit his ranch. Caillou learns a lot about horses, and he even gets to brush a pony named Lucky. When Dad's burning toast triggers the fire alarm, he decides it is the perfect opportunity to practice a fire drill. Caillou gets the family together to go over a basic evacuation plan, and happily spends the afternoon pretending to be a firefighter. Later, Caillou accompanies Mom to the grocery store and brings along some money from his piggybank. Caillou finds a way to spend his money: he gets his face painted by a lady at the store. Caillou and his Mommy are preparing a picnic lunch. Caillou would like to leave right away, but it's not lunchtime yet and Mom and Dad have other things to finish before they leave. To help Caillou wait, Dad gives him a small alarm clock and a special assignment: to let everybody know when it's noon. When Mr. Hinkle has a tree cut down, Caillou is afraid his swing tree is next! Mom helps Daniel be empathetic and think about how O is feeling: Daniel remembers a time when he was upset because Miss Elaina was being way too loud for him. He doesn't want O to feel this way, and realizes that they can both have fun as quiet handymen!
    * Empathy at School: Chrissie and Daniel are playing together at school today, but when Chrissie loses her special bracelet, she doesn't feel like playing anymore. Daniel has trouble understanding why until Teacher Harriet shows him how to be empathetic and think about how Chrissie may be feeling. Daniel remembers just how worried he was when he thought he had lost Tigey, and decides to stop playing and help find the bracelet.

We have long range plans to get humans to Mars, but still have not solved some of the challenges, like what human inhabitants will do about the lack of oxygen and water, and the extreme temperatures. Sounds Abound - Sean is trying to work on a science project for Space Troops, but is interrupted by his friends' constant noise. His search for a quiet place to conduct his experiment leads him to the realization that sound is exactly what his experiments needed all along.
