George follows, and when he reaches for the light switch, accidentally turns on the giant cider press! All of the apples they've collected are being washed, chopped, and squished into liquid! Not wanting the Renkins to be mad with the sticky mess, George fills everything he can get his hands on with the apple juice squirting out of the machine. When the Man with the Yellow Hat and Renkins' arrive, they're astonished to see the entire harvest bottled up! Much to George's relief, the Renkins aren't upset - they're thrilled. And Jumpy, much to his relief, finds his perfect apple. Educational Objective: To introduce the concept that some systems are found in nature while others are made by humans.
    * Snow Use: It's the hottest day of the year, and to cool down, George wants to build a snowman! But how can he build a snowman when there's no snow? George experiments with crushed ice cubes, but they melt too quickly. Mud... but it doesn't stay in the right shape. And rocks, which are too heavy to lift! George is stumped. What sticks together, doesn't melt, and wasn't heavy? Of course, sand! George convinces the Man with the Yellow Hat to drive him, Bill, and the Renkins to the beach, where they can all cool off and George can finally build his summer snowman. Educational Objective: To explore the results of mixing different natural materials with water.

At first, the dogs are upset with him, but then they overhear Mrs. Howard say that sometimes a grumpy attitude can be changed through kindness. This inspires the dogs to perform a series of "secret good deeds" to turn Mr. Bleakman's frown into a smile. They are surprised when the kind acts make them feel much better, too!

When Mrs. Z handsout biscuits, Clifford is crowded out, and only gets a biscuit becaus e Jorge saves him one. Clifford is just fed up with being small. But his friends remind him that they, too, have their own idiosyncrasies todeal with - Jorge has an extra- long body, Norville has all those fea thers, and Daffodil has her floppy ears. But, Clifford says, all thosethings are what make them what they are. And they point out that ther e are great things about being small, too, and that's what makes Clifford the special puppy that he is.
    * Clifford's Magic Lamp - Emily Elizabeth has read Clifford the story of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp and he can't wait to share it with his friends. Of course, Norville knows all about it - he even knows where to find the lamp! While he's off fetching it, Jorge, Daffodil, and Clifford imagine how they're going to spend their wishes. In the end, they all realize they already have everything they need.

    Sesame Street [#4219H] The Whoosh & Vanish Mystery It's a very windy day on Sesame Street. Elmo and Telly are just about to play a game of basketball. When they return from eating a healthy power snack, their ball is missing! It's a real mystery and they need to investigate to solve the problem! First, Telly writes down what they already know about the mystery! Then, he forms a hypothesis, or a guess, that Abby must have made the basketball disappear because she's able to do magic. Abby tells them that she was with the seven dwarves so it couldn't have been her. Telly and Elmo investigate further and Elmo suggests that they look under the table. The basketball isn't there and now Telly's notebook and crayon have vanished making the mystery even more mysterious! Elmo discovers a new clue and after thinking about where he's heard this "whoosh" sound before, he forms a new hypothesis- the Big Bad Wolf did it! The Big Bad Wolf explains that it wasn't him either. Now they hear the "whoosh" again and Telly's hat is missing! This time they also feel a tickle but don't see anything. Leela comes by and helps them piece all the clues together. What can be all around that you can sometimes hear and feel, but can't see? Wind! Elmo and Telly experiment and test out their new hypothesis and see if the wind made their things disappear. They follow a leaf flying in the wind and find all of their missing things.
