Shana Naomi Krochmal's history of community service includes serving as the communications director for the STOP AIDS Project, an HIV-prevention agency for Gay and Bisexual men in San Francisco. Krochmal is a member of the National AIDS Communications Roundtable and acts as liaison and consultant to the Federal AIDS Partnership, an ad hoc group of advocates and lobbyists. She is also a freelance journalist who has written for a number of local and national publications, including VIBE, and is a contributing editor to POZ. Krochmal graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and is a member of the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association.
