Elder Raymond E. Lankford

Elder Raymond E. Lankford
Elder Raymond E. Lankford is the co-founder and executive director of Healthy Oakland, a faith-based nonprofit organization. His challenge as executive director is to collaborate with churches, organizations and businesses in an attempt to decrease the violence and health disparities in the African-American community of Alameda County.

Mr. Lankford received his B.A. in Social Science in 1992. He went on to receive a Masters in Social Work from San Francisco State University, where he was awarded the Graduate Student Distinguished Achievement Award. Mr. Lankford has over 10 years of experience counseling victims of physical, sexual and mental abuses. He is an ordained Reverend and currently serves as the youth and young adult pastor of the Center of Hope Community Church. Mr. Lankford is employed with the city of San Francisco and serves as the supervisor of licensing for Child Protective Services.
