Nominate a Latino Unsung Hero
September is Latino Heritage Month and KQED is seeking Bay Area Unsung Hero nominations. We are interested in individuals who have demonstrated leadership and a strong commitment to community service. Please submit Bay Area Unsung Hero nomination forms by Friday, July 18, 2008.

Nominate a Youth Spirit Award Recipient
KQED and Kaiser Permanente are seeking nominations to honor outstanding individuals in the Latino community. Young leaders, ages 11 and older, or adults who lead the young, are eligible for the Youth Spirit award. KQED will air television spots honoring the Youth Spirit leaders and a community celebration/awards ceremony will take place in September.
