Signal Society

The Signal Society is a special group of donors who contribute $1,500 - $9,999 annually to KQED and ensure that KQED's engaging and educational programming and services will be available for future generations of Northern Californians.

Your investment in KQED:

  • Provides millions of people with enriching documentaries, inspiring performances, and enlightening debates;
  • Promotes a greater understanding and appreciation of our own community and the world we share; and
  • Delivers educational materials to teachers, students, parents, and families.

Annual giving of $1,500-$2,499

  • Invitation to KQED Fall Preview & Screening and events with popular public broadcasting personalities
  • Lending Library borrowing privileges
  • One-year subscription to printed version of On Q magazine

  • Recognition on the Annual Donor Wall
  • KQED MemberCard, good for discounts at museums, arts organizations, and stores around the Bay Area

$2,500-$4,999

  • Visit to the set of a locally produced television show (at mutually agreed upon time) and lunch or dinner with KQED executive staff
  • Support listed in Go Public newsletter

$5,000-$9,999

Includes benefits extended to above plus:

  • Reservations for the Signal Society Patrons' event
  • Live viewing of selected KQED-produced programs
