- What is Capital One Card Lab Connect?
Capital One Card Lab Connect is a credit card program through which you support a non-profit organization through your everyday purchases. When you make purchases with a participating organization's card, that organization receives donations for all of your purchases. Carrying the card also helps to spread awareness about the organization's cause and allows you to show your support.
- Do I get to personalize my KQED Visa Platinum Card?
Absolutely! You have the option to choose between three custom-design cards that show your support of KQED. If you'd like to create your own image card, select that option and you'll be able to upload your own image within the credit card application. In this case, your card will not display KQED's logo, but donations will still be directed to KQED.
- Can I transfer balances from other credit cards to the KQED Visa® Platinum Card?
Yes, you can transfer balances to the KQED VisaŽ Platinum Card, but no donations will be made on transferred balances.
- Who pays the Capital One Card Lab Connect donation to KQED?
Capital One pays the $50 first purchase donation, the 2% donation for purchases at gas stations and major grocery stores, and the 1% donation for other purchases. Additional rewards may be paid by participating merchants for purchase of their merchandise.
- Will I be informed about the amount I'm contributing to the organization I support through Capital One Card Lab Connect?
You will be sent a quarterly confirmation letter that lists each contribution made from your card.
- How does KQED get the rewards I've earned through the KQED Visa® Platinum Card?
Capital One will automatically transfer the cash rewards to KQED on a quarterly basis.
- How do the rewards work for this card?
The rewards on the card are earned in a similar way to other cash back rewards cards. A percentage of all purchases you make is put into a rewards account and is donated to KQED once per quarter. In addition, KQED will receive a $50 bonus contribution from Capital One when you make the first purchase with your card.
