Why is KQED having a capital campaign?

KQED is undergoing a transformation that will bring an unprecedented level of educational services to the people of Northern California. In response to the unfunded federal mandate to convert our television broadcast technology from analog to digital format, KQED has developed a strategic plan to meet that challenge and to use the new technology as a launching pad for delivering extraordinary new services and greatly increased program production and distribution in partnership with other educational, cultural and civic organizations.

Does my membership gift count toward the Campaign?

No. A gift to the Campaign for the Future is a special, additional gift to KQED. It does not renew your annual membership. Your annual membership is invaluable to KQED because it supports the annual operation of KQED Public Radio, KQED Public Television and KQED Education Network, and we ask all Campaign donors to also continue their annual support. A gift to the Campaign is an exceptional, separate and valued contribution to KQED's future.
