Less Than Zero
The Leaders of Cyberspace have gathered to discuss Hacker's increasing influence, when they are suddenly interrupted by Hacker. Buzz and Delete, Hacker's henchmen, hide the leaders including Dr. Marbles, in the building and its' up to the kids to rescue them. Before long, the kids discover that they can only move between the building's levels by scaling its outside walls! So the kids turn the building into a giant ruler in order to keep track of the floors. And when they discover that there are levels beneath what they thought was "zero," the kids must tap into the power of negative numbers. The Big Idea: Numbers don't have to stop at zero! Negative numbers -- numbers that are less than zero -- can extend the range of what you can measure on a scale and give you the ability to compare numbers using direction as well as amount. Math Topic: Negative Numbers NCTM Links: Number & Operations.

Chaos ensues from Delete's wacky wishes, and the CyberSquad is called in. When Zanko & Matt end up stuck on a ledge inside hazardous Statico Chasm, Inez and Jackie must 'refine & optimize' the Bunny-Copter to rescue them. Can they do it in time? EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE: When you have an invention that needs an improvement, identify the key feature that needs changing and vary it until the invention is as good as it can be.

The CyberSquad and their new friend--a little Factorian girl named Zoreen--suspect Hacker is up to no good, and they discover he's not making toys, but spy planes! To get the Factorians out of Hacker's clutches, the CyberSquad must show them how to grow their own food. Can they put Hacker out of business for good? Big idea: Delicious, healthful vegetables don't just come from the store. They grow from seeds - and you can grow (and eat) them yourself! Math concept: Area.

The CyberSquad investigates to see what's causing all these changes. Is Hacker back to his old tricks? Or has he finally had a change of heart? And what's with the sparkly purple dots on the sculptures? EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE: Use a line graph to picture change and your eyes can quickly tell you when and how things are changing.

Fortress of Attitude
Hacker decides that he can force cybersites to surrender by annoying them big time. He broadcasts his loud and obnoxious voice across the vastness of cyberspace from a massive statue shaped like the arrogant Hacker himself. The kids and Digit are sent by Motherboard to the Northern Frontier, where they carry out a Mission Impossible style scheme to silence the statue and disable Hacker's intimidation. Using their skills at measuring length, the kids make their way up through the inside of the booby-trapped statue to Hacker's pointy chin and big mouth. But can they shut him up before Hacker shuts them down? The Big Idea: To measure length and communicate your results easily and precisely, identify a system of units based on a single standard length that everyone using it agrees on. Math Topic: Linear Measurement NCTM Links: Measurement.

When Penguins Fly
Penguins can't fly - or can they? In Cyberspace, on one special night each year, the penguins of Penguia take flight to deliver gifts to young borgs across the virtual universe. For the first time ever, the CyberSquad's friend Fluff is participating, and invites his pals Matt, Jackie, Inez and Digit to join him in the impressive Penguin March. They head to the Ice Palace, where the gifts are made and where magic snowflakes are sprinkled on the penguins so they can fly. But Hacker, up to his usual ruinous tricks, doesn't want a happy holiday (let alone happy little borgs) so he creates a giant ditch in front of the Ice Palace and traps all the penguins in its icy depths! The CyberSquad must get the penguins ice-shoes so they can climb out before midnight, but how many do they need? With too many to count, the answer lies in the kids' ability to sample the penguin population to make a close estimate. Can the CyberSquad save the penguins and their favorite holiday too??

Watts of Halloween Trouble
Matt is setting up the farm for his family's annual Halloween Pumpkin Patch Party and he is so excited! All his relatives come for the celebration, and even Grammy will be there this year! Inez and Jackie urge Matt to take a quick break and go into Cyberspace for Haunt-O-Rama at R-Fair City - an amusement park cybersite lit up to the nines for the Halloween holiday. The girls assure Matt he will be back home in plenty of time, and he agrees to go. But all their plans change when Hacker traps the kids on R-Fair City, hacking the portal system so they can't get back to Earth! (He thought he was keeping them out of Cyberspace for good, but alas, Buzz and Delete botched their task yet again.) Upset that he came to R-Fair City in the first place, Matt is worried about missing his family's party. The kids must find enough energy on R-Fair City to power Digit's old Portal Rebooter and fix the system. With the Halloween celebration in full swing, can they find enough big and small ways to save energy amid the bright lights? And will Matt make it back in time to see Grammy?

Creech's Creature Quandary
Creech invites her good friends the CyberSquad to Tikiville to show off the amazing new bike path that has everyone driving their fantastic new bikes and trikes rather than cars. Everyone is having fun - even Hacker is joyriding on his bike (and if that isn't suspicious, Jackie doesn't know what is). Inez, who cares deeply for animals, soon realizes the bike path has divided the habitats of many of Tikiville's cute, cuddly creatures. Creature families have been split up, and the busy bike path is preventing animals from reaching their food and water sources. Inez feels the bike path should be shut down, but Creech doesn't want to take away the benefits the path has created for her community. The disagreement drives a wedge between the two good friends. Will they find a compromise? Will a map of the area help Inez and her friends reunite the cute critters to their families and homes? And what is that sneaky Hacker up to?!

A Murky Mystery In Mermaidos
Digit is going on his annual visit to Mermaidos, an underwater cybersite filled with merfolk, to visit one of his best friends in the whole cyber-world-Eugene. The two of them are great buddies who love to play underwater games, frolic with fish, and do other wacky water things in this idyllic underwater paradise. When Digit arrives, something is wrong. Mermaidos is murky and warm and the fish are leaving in droves. Digit feels terrible for his pal Eugene and promises to do what he can to make things right. It turns out Hacker has put a plan in motion to turn Mermaidos into his own personal hot tub! He is making the water hotter and hotter, raising the temperature to a hot 100 cyber-degrees- a temperature that would make Mermaidos uninhabitable for the Mermaidians and force them to move out. It is up to Digit and the CyberSquad to stop Hacker's plan, reverse the thermal pollution and help save Eugene's home.

Plantasaurus!
It's going to be a very special night in Cyberspace for Matt, Inez and Jackie. To show her appreciation for all they've done for her (and Cyberspace), Motherboard has invited the kids to have a slumber party with Digit in the newly refurbished and repainted Control Central! But a case of sneezes, itchy eyes and scratchy throats threatens to put a damper on the slumber fun. And to make matters worse, Hacker has his own surprises for Motherboard that night. Inspired by a B-Monster movie, Hacker makes his own Plantasaurus to finally get the best of Motherboard and take over Cyberspace. Can the kids get to the bottom of the problems inside Control Central before the problems outside come to their front door? A Reboot Eve to Remember
It's that time of the year again: Reboot Day - when all of cyberspace celebrates a fresh start and all the bots make Reboot resolutions! It's Delete's favorite holiday, but Hacker is having none of it; he's in a foul mood because he's low on energy. Fortunately for him, the little windy town of Bottowa has a powerful energy source that'll put new pep in his step. Unfortunately for the Bottowans, this power source is what raises the big ball at the stroke of midnight on Reboot Eve (like dropping the big ball in Times Square, but in reverse), and their celebration is being broadcast live across Cyberspace! When Hacker steals the energy source, Delete is so upset that he decides to stay behind and join forces with the CyberSquad, who have come to help the poor little town from Virtual World-wide humiliation. To do this, they'll try to harness the natural power of the wind and build a giant windmill. But will they be able to finish it all by the stroke of midnight? And will Delete decide to stay in Bottawa forever?
