With the support of KQED's Campaign for the Future Digital Conversion Fund, KQED Public Radio is now broadcasting a digital radio signal alongside our analog radio transmissions. Whether you listen to either of our main transmitters on 88.5 MHz in the San Francisco Bay Area or on 89.3 MHz in Sacramento, you can tune in a digital version of our award-winning news and public affairs programming with an HD Radio-capable receiver, offering clearer sound and less interference than analog FM. In the future, HD Radio technology and enhanced receiver designs will allow KQED Public Radio to offer new information services including multiple program streams, detailed descriptive programming information, accessible radio for the visually and hearing impaired, and an electronic program guide.
