Keven Guillory
Producer, Forum
Keven Guillory's first radio job at UC Berkeley's student station, KALX, was simply the beginning of Keven's long and continuing presence on Bay Area radio. He has worked as a news and public affairs director, news anchor, reporter, and producer at KRE, KBLX, KDIA, KSOL, KITS, K101, KALW, and KQED. He is also one of the founding members of the KQED-FM news team. Currently, he is a producer of KQED'S FORUM program with Michael Krasny and Dave Iverson.
Keven majored in English at UC Berkeley, and was distinguished with a John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship at Stanford University. Guillory has won several broadcast awards from the Radio and Television News Directors Association and the Associated Press.
In mid career, Guillory taught radio news production to high school students at Youth News and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Youth Radio/Youth Media International. Guillory has also served on the boards of Youth Radio, the Bay Area Black Journalists Association, and Suicide Prevention/Crisis Support Services of Alameda County.
A native Bay Area resident, Guillory enjoys gardening, especially growing roses, fishing, playing volleyball, writing for fun, and attempting to remain silent while being driven by his teenager. Guillory has five children, three of which are driving and two who are still on the soccer field.
