Ingrid manages producers, hosts and staff reporters in four cities and works with freelance contributors around the state to create The California Report's award-winning morning news program and 30-minute weekend radio news magazine.
Prior to joining KQED, Ingrid was a freelance radio and print journalist specializing in legal affairs and business reporting. She is a former staff reporter with United Press International and has worked for several daily California newspapers, monthly magazines and various websites.
She began her career in 1986 after graduating from San Francisco University with degrees in journalism and political science, and has reported extensively on state politics and local government. Ingrid has also taught journalism and is a former board member of the Society of Professional Journalists, Northern California Chapter.
