Could you please do a show on how Silicon Solar Cells are made (from sand, to crystals, to wafers to modules on the roof)? You’ve covered thin film solar cells, but not the Si panels that make up more than 2 gigawatts of solar capacity produced each year. There are many bay area companies involved and the show could highlight where the expense is and what’s needed for future work. It would also hightlight where DOE Solar America Initiative funding is coming into the Bay Area to trasform it into a solar center of a new Green/Clean industry that benefits the environment. I work in the field of solar from the science and publishing side and could help Quest now or at any time.
