Dear water friend,

My new book “Health20” may help you and Mother
Earth to better health (McGraw Hill, February
2007).

No, it's not "Health Twenty" but "Health Two O"
like in "H20" (water), and it tells you about the
myriad health benefits of water - inside and
outside, warm and cold.

The book is based on European Natural Medicine,
applying old knowledge to our ancient bodies so
that we can function better in the modern world.
Learn how to improve immune function with cold
water - and so much more. How to transform your
bathroom into a home spa and use water for health
and beauty. How simple, effective movement, fresh
nutrition, herbs and balancing your life will
give you more stamina and vigor. There is even a
chapter on losing weight painlessly. One on
sauna. And one on fasting. They also make wonderful presents.

Again Roanne Weisman is my co-author (we did
together "Healthy to 100: Aging with Vigor and
Grace", HCI, 2006).You can view the books on
amazon (English books) and barnesandnoble
websites worldwide, and also order them through
your local bookseller.

I am also available for book signings and/or
health talks.

Water greetings!

Alexa Fleckenstein.

P.S.
If you don't want to be on my mailing list,
please let me know!

I have been using Persil Color for years, but I find it highly annoying that I have to bring the stuff over from germany myself. Why isn't it sold in the US? Is the new Tide Coldwater similar in terms of cups needed per load, toxicity etc.?
Many people don't realize that protein stains (blood, egg and others)will 'set' if washed in hot water, they can ONLY be removed if washed with an enzyme based detergent in cold (usually less than 110F) water.

Jim, I enjoyed your recent blog for Quest regarding the use of cold water use for laundry. I have used cold water for years and have never had any problems-- it's actually better for the clothes.
