Great Performances: The Merry Widow: The Plot

The following are cast and production credits for The Merry Widow from San Francisco Opera, Wednesday, December 25 at 9 p.m. (ET) on Thirteen/WNET New York's Great Performances (check local PBS listings). A production of Thirteen/WNET; KQED Public Television, San Francisco; San Francisco Opera; BBC Worldwide, and Opus Arte BV, the telecast features a new libretto by Wendy Wasserstein, and stars Yvonne Kenny and Bo Skovhus. Gary Halvorson directs. Erich Kunzel conducts the SFO Chorus and Orchestra. Great Performances is funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the National Endowment for the Arts, public television viewers and PBS. Major corporate support is provided by Ernst & Young LLP.
