| And Then One Night: The Making of Dead Man Walking: Funding |
Production of And Then One Night: The Making of Dead Man Walking is made possible by Mr. and Mrs. William R. Hewlett, Toni and Arthur Rock, the KQED Campaign for the Future Program Venture Fund and PBS.
KQED's Campaign for the Future Program Venture Fund will result in more original and innovative programs about the Bay Area’s diverse populations and their talents, resources and concerns. The Program Venture Fund will provide for more programs for viewers and listeners to explore and discuss provocative educational, cultural and civic issues; and more locally produced programs that have national impact. The Program Venture Fund will also enable the fulfillment of KQED's vision of broad-based strategic partnerships with other cultural and educational organizations throughout the region
In response to the unfunded federal mandate to convert our television broadcast technology from analog to digital format, KQED has launched the Campaign for the Future. With a goal of $70 million, the Campaign for the Future will support three initiatives: Digital Conversion Fund, Program Venture Fund and Infrastructure Fund. As of August 2001, the Campaign for the Future has successfully raised over 60% of the $70 million goal.
