Erato Releases the Live Opera Performance of Composer Jake Heggie's DEAD MAN WALKING Featuring Susan Graham, Frederica von Stade and John Packard

Erato Records released composer Jake Heggie and playwright Terrence McNally's operatic retelling of Sister Helen Prejean's book "Dead Man Walking." The opera features a star-studded cast consisting of exclusive Erato artist Susan Graham portraying the role of Sister Helen, Frederica von Stade as the prisoner's mother and John Packard as the condemned inmate Joseph de Rocher.

CD highlights include:

DEAD MAN WALKING premiered at San Francisco Opera on October 7, 2000. San Francisco Opera principal guest conductor Patrick Summers led the orchestra.
