COASTAL ACADEMICS
Dr. Gary Griggs is a renowned marine geologist and the Director of the Institute of Marine Sciences at University of California at Santa Cruz.

Dr. Douglas Inman is an internationally known coastal expert coastal expert and the Professor Emeritus of Oceanography, Integrative Oceanography Division, at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla.

FORT BRAGG/MENDOCINO
Loie Rosenkrantz is a Fort Bragg resident and a founding member of North Coast Action, a citizens group dedicated to preserving the quality of life and the environment in Mendocino County.

GAVIOTA
Mike Lunsford is President of the Gaviota Coast Conservancy, a group dedicated to preserving the coastline of the Santa Barbara area.

Eric Hvolboll is an 8th-generation resident of the Gaviota coast and an attorney at Price, Postel & Parma LLP whose family owns the La Paloma ranch near Venadito Canyon.

Mike McGinnis, PhD, is an expert on coastal public policy issues and the Acting Director of the Ocean and Coastal Policy Center at the Marine Science Institute at the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Kerry Mormann is a real estate agent in Santa Barbara County.

Stephen Hearst is the Vice President/General Manager of The Hearst Corporation in San Francisco.

MALIBU/ACCESS
John K. Heidt is the President of Heidt Torres Company and a Malibu property owner whose property is next to the proposed Geffen beach accessway.

Christi Hogan is the City Attorney for the City of Malibu.

Steve Hoye is the founder of Access for All, a grassroots group trying to open public access ways along the California coast.

Jeff Jennings is a Malibu City Councilman and former mayor of Malibu.

Sara Wan is a California Coastal Commissioner. She has served on the Commission since 1996 and lives in Malibu.

PACIFICA/ RESTORATION/SEAWALLS
Scott Holmes is Director of Public Works for the City of Pacifica.

Penny Keating and her family make their living from the ocean and live in a beachside Pacifica home built by her husband's family in 1935.

Jane Tolleni is a San Francisco zookeeper who lost her Pacifica cliff-side home in 1998 due to bluff failure.

Jim Vreeland is the Mayor of Pacifica.

Barry Johnson is City Manager of Solana Beach.

Jim Jaffe is Vice President of CalBeach Advocates, a non-profit dedicated to beach preservation.

Gail Steel is a condominium owner in Solana Beach, whose home is currently threatened by bluff failure.

GENERAL COASTAL ISSUES

James S. Burling is an attorney with the Pacific Legal Foundation, a public interest law group that supports less government and private property rights, based in Sacramento.

Senator Wesley (Wes) Chesbro is a California State Senator (Democrat - Arcata, Senate District 2).

Peter Douglas has been the Executive Director of the California Coastal Commission since 1985. He is one of the authors of Proposition 20, which led to the California Coastal Act. The headquarters of the Coastal Commission is in San Francisco.

Keith Fromm is a developer from Los Angeles.

Linda Hanes is a member of Coastwalk, a non-profit dedicated to creating a California coastal trail, based in Sebastopol. In 2003, she walked California's entire coastline.

Bill Kortum is a long-time coastal and environmental activist from Sonoma County. He was the main opponent of the Sea Ranch development and helped pass the California Coastal Act in 1972. He is also a member of Coastwalk, a non-profit dedicated to creating a California coastal trail.

Mark Massara lives in San Francisco and is the director of the Sierra Club's Coastal Program. He is also an attorney and worked extensively with the Surfrider Foundation.

Richard Nichols is the Executive Director of Coastwalk, based in Sebastopol.

Audrey Rust is the President of the Peninsula Open Space Trust, a San Mateo Land Trust non-profit which based in Menlo Park.

Naomi Schwartz is Chairperson of the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors.

Paul Thayer is Executive Director of the California State Lands Commission, based in Sacramento.
