Intelligence Squared U.S."America Should Be the World's Policeman" -- The Oxford-style debate program returns with the motion, "America Should Be the World's Policeman." Following the usual formula, the debate features one motion, one moderator, three panelists for the motion and three against. Panelists arguing for the motion include Max Boot, senior fellow in national security studies at the Council on Foreign Relations; Michael Mandelbaum, Christian A. Herter professor of American foreign policy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies; and Douglas Murray, a bestselling author, commentator and director of the Centre for Social Cohesion, a London-based think tank which focuses on terrorism and extremism within the UK. Panelists arguing against the motion include Ian Bremmer, president of Eurasia Group; Ellen Laipson, president and CEO of the Henry L. Stimson Center; and Matthew Parris, a British MP who now writes for the Times of London and is a broadcaster for the BBC.
