Agencies ask Bay Area Public to Help Document 'King Tides'

If you live near the shoreline of the San Francisco Bay, or on parts of the California coast, you might want have your camera handy this week.

Unusually high tides called "King Tides" are hitting the shores, and a coalition of government agencies and nonprofits is asking the public to help them document the high water -- by taking pictures.

KQED's Stephanie Martin spoke with reporter Paul Rogers, who has been covering the King Tides phenomenon for the Mercury News.
