Caltrans Assures Bay Bridge is Safe for All Traffic
The Bay Bridge has been back in service since Tuesday, carrying its typical load of a quarter-million cars and trucks a day. An engineer at UC Berkeley has questioned whether the span should be returned to normal service after Caltrans crews found and repaired a crack in a bridge support.
