KQED proudly celebrates the richness and diversity of the greater San Francisco Bay Area by commemorating Women's History Month. In March, KQED Public TV 9 and Public Radio 88.5 FM schedules a special lineup of programs focused on themes and issues related to women.

Nominate a 2012 Bay Area Unsung Hero for Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month and KQED is seeking nominations for unsung Bay Area Local Heroes. We are interested in individuals who have demonstrated leadership and a strong commitment to community service. Please submit Bay Area Local Hero nomination forms by Monday, February 6, 2012.
