On Call Janitor

Position Summary

On call for the swing shift (3:00 to 11:00 p.m.), perform industry standard janitorial and custodial functions under limited guidance from the shift lead worker. Be able to work well with general assignments, making decisions as to the best way to accomplish the necessary cleaning tasks. Respond flexibly when requirements change during the shift. Report anything unusual encountered during while performing assigned work.

Position Accountabilities

1. Stripping & mopping of tile and linoleum floors
2. Cleaning and shampooing carpets
3. Floor polishing
4. Vacuuming
5. Dusting furniture
6. Window washing
7. Set up for meetings and events (tables, chairs, lecterns, easels, etc.
8. Moving items to and from storage
9. Other related duties

 

Position Requirements

1. Two years experience in maintenance janitorial work

2. Effective communication skills

3. Previouis experience with floor care

4. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team..
