Lead Janitor

Position Summary
Utility Maintenance Employees provide timely, consistent, and efficient services for the benefit of their co-workers by performing janitorial and custodial tasks, setting up for meetings and events, moving furniture, and similar duties. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. There are opportunities for overtime work in support of events on weekends. In addition, the lead worker on the shift coordinates work assignments, monitors cleanliness of the building, and documents task assignments for the team on the housekeeping shift.
Position Accountabilities
Position Requirements
1. Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role required
2. Must be able to use control programs that operate critical facilities systems
and equipment
3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
4. Knowledge of all janitorial/custodial functions including mopping/stripping/waxing
and buffing as well as proper restroom and office cleaning procedures
5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills
6. Must possess and maintain current a valid CA drivers license with a good
driving record
7. Experience as a lead or supervisor in a union setting
