KQED RADIO INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

KQED-FM Radio offers two types of internships, one that is open to students and our Radio Practical Training Internship program which is open to both students and non students.

Student interns receive academic credit; however non-students and career-transfers fill many of our internships and are encouraged to apply.

KQED-FM Internships in Climate Change and Radio Web are available to students only.

Application Deadlines and Internship Dates

Fall Term Application Deadline: June 15
Fall Term Internship Dates: September 15 - January 15

Spring Term Application Deadline: October 15
Spring Term Internship Dates: January 15 - May 30

Summer Term Application Deadline: March 1
Summer Term Internship Dates: June 1 - September 15

Hours

Practical Training Internships for Public Radio include two eight hour periods per week (no weekends) for four months.
