SPARKed - SPARK in Education Internship

Internship Summary:

Educational Services is a KQED Platform that reaches out to the education community to provide resources and support in connection with NCPB programming. Interns in Education Services will work closely with Project Supervisors to put on workshops, deliver educational materials to formal and informal eduators as well as assist with outreach projects to bay area school districts and individual schools

Internship Duties:

  • Updates and maintenance of the Curriculum Bank (updating links)
  • Staffing Ed Services events and workshops
  • KQED Ed Policy Forum
  • Support for event planning
  • Updates and maintenance of the department contact lists

Internship Qualifications:

  • Must have knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritze different projects
  • Must be comfortable interacting with people/representing KQED on phone and in person
  • Hours can be flexible but may require some evenings or weekends for event participation

Please Note:

To qualify for this internship, you must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited academic institution and be able to earn course credit at the college level (no exceptions). When sending your resume and cover letter, please be certain to reference your the internship(s) of interest, ability to receive course credit as a college student, and available term within the body of the cover letter.

All internships are unpaid.

Once a college student has been accepted for the internship, the individual will be required to provide "Proof of Credit" or a signed verification form from a counselor, major department head, or professor before beginning the KQED internship program.
