Peter Laufer -- From Battlefields to Butterflies
Praised by the LA Times as a "Venn diagram of the beautiful and bizarre," Peter Laufer's latest book, "The Dangerous World of Butterflies" diverts the veteran author and journalist from his usual reportage on war and politics. Instead he investigates the wars between butterfly breeders and "huggers," hobbyists and poachers, collectors and smugglers. Laufer joins us to discuss both his hard-edged and more light-hearted journalistic adventures. His other books include "Mission Rejected: U.S. Soldiers Who Say No to Iraq."
