September saw the demise of a major San Francisco law firm, 118 year-old Heller Ehrman LLP. On Tuesday, San Francisco-based firm Thelen LLP dissolved due to "recessionary pressures." We discuss these recent collapses and the effects of the global financial crisis on the legal landscape.
